Hello fellow perfectionists! Welcome to the most challenging fun I have had in a long time. This is all about a journey to focus on the person you want and deserve to be. We are so many personalities as people. I am currently working through a divorce, mother to a hemophiliac, friend, mentor, entrepreneur, advocate, student, financial professional, daughter, daughter-in-law, colleague, strategic business partner, fundraiser and, let’s not forget, just me, when nobody else is looking. When you add the myriad personalities in this world, father, brother, sister, husband, father, boss, manager, blogger, doctor…and on and on, it is wonder how we all stay grounded in who WE are. It is overwhelming. You, the true YOU, can get lost and before you know it 10 years has gone by and you are no where near where you thought you would be. At, least, this is what happened to me.
This is my experiment of blogging about the tiny changes I am making to create better habits. My hope is that you will find that these mini modifications to the stuff you are already doing will lead to gigantic changes that move you towards the person you know you can be.
Like most people, I have a strong desire to succeed dragged down by even stronger fears. Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of not knowing who I really am. You name it, I have it. In my younger days, I was so careless with my time, intelligence and love that the real me disappeared under a big wall of sarcasm that really does not suit the 40 something mom of a toddler, that I am today. Well, what is one to do when the person you should have been is not who you actually are? Simple, Change Everything.
I am not a writer, which may, or may not be evident to you already. I am willing to put myself out there and chronicle, the Many Mini Modifications to the big, bad, lazy habits I currently have to create Amazing, Inspiring and Awesome habits that get me what I want. Some will work, some won’t. Some will change my life immediately. I will have total commitment to Mini Mods to every area of my life, everyday. It is unrealistic to just magically become what I want (at least for me) tomorrow, but totally do-able if I can proactively preform a small shift or tweak in my daily thoughts or actions every day.
How about you? Are you willing to try something new? Are you willing to invest 15 minutes a day in yourself?
